Vice-Chancellor stressed upon imparting quality education
Amritsar, January 11- A 3-week Refresher Course in Computer Science conducted under the aegis of Academic Staff College of the Guru Nanak Dev University concluded here.
This course was jointly organised by the Academic Staff College and Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the University. More than 33 teachers from Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh attended this refresher course.
Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A.S. Brar while presiding over the valedictory session stressed upon the need for more efforts by the faculty for imparting quality education to the students. He also called upon the teachers to go all out in their research efforts.
Dr. (Mrs.) Parminder Kaur, Coordinator of the course, presented a detailed report regarding various activities undertaken during this course. She also appreciated the participation of the personnel from the Software Industry, DRDO and the faculty members from various academic institutes as resource persons in the course. Dr. Satish Verma, Director, Academic Staff College and Dr. A.P. Vig, Deputy Director, ASC were also present on the occasion.
