Great India Presidency School celebrated Lohri festival dedicated to girl child

Amritsar, January 13 – Great India Presidency School, Chhidan celebrated Lohri festival dedicated to girl child here today at the school premises.
            Dr. A.S. Mahal, Chairman of the School presided over while Dr. Sukhbir Kaur Mahal, Principal, Khalsa College for Women was the guest of honor. S. Satkartar Singh, Sarpanch – Chhidan, S. Ajmer Singh, Sarpanch – Gharinda, S. Harpal Singh, Member Panchyat and Mr. Prince from Canadian News Agency, Canada were also present.
            Dr, A.S. Mahal  in his welcome address detailed the importance of festival Lohri. He said that this school was established to provide modern education to this boarder belt area.  Dr. Sukhbir Kaur Mahal exhorted everyone to celebrate all festivals in their traditional flavor, so that student made aware of their rich cultural heritage. Mrs. Paramjit Kaur, Principal of School present vote of thanks on this occasion.
