GOLDEN JUBILEE PAU BOOK FAIR ON FEBRUARY 8

LUDHIANA, JANUARY 18: The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) will organize a three-day “Golden Jubilee Book Fair” in the front lawns of Mohinder Singh Randhawa Library on the University Campus from February 8-10.
 Giving contours, Dr (Mrs) J.K.Sangha, Librarian, PAU, informed that reputed publishers and distributors from across the country will exhibit books on a wide range of subjects including agricultural sciences, agricultural engineering, home science and basic sciences. The book fair will provide an opportunity to the book lovers to browse publications on agricultural economics, agro-forestry, horticulture, food science and technology, plant breeding, plant pathology, soil science, vegetable crops, nano-biotechnology, climate change and environment science, food engineering and processing, farm machinery and power engineering, soil and water engineering and electrical engineering, informed Dr Sangha. Besides, the book fair will also showcase books on biochemistry, business management, biotechnology and molecular biology, mathematics and statistics, rural sociology, communication and journalism, family resource management, women studies and extension education. The general and subject specific dictionaries, reference books on all disciplines and competition books for the preparation of UGC-NET, Civil Services Examination, TOEFEL, Graduate Record Examination (GRE), and International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians (ISCET) will be displayed during the fair for the benefit of the students wishing to prepare for competitive exams. Dr Sangha has called upon the city schools, colleges and other institutions to participate in the book fair in large number. The fair will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
