LUDHIANA, January 24: Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt Amarinder Singh today asked the party cadres to ensure that they voted and supported the party candidates in all the assembly segments, particularly in Atam Nagar and Ludhiana South assembly segments.
Referring to some disinformation campaign launched by certain vested interests, Capt Amarinder made it categorically clear that the party observers were keeping a close watch on Atam Nagar and Ludhiana South and all the leaders and workers have to ensure the victory of the party candidates Milkiat Singh Birmi (in Atam Nagar) and Pappi Prashar (in Ludhiana South).
He also said that there was no question of supporting any of the rebels from any party in any constituency anywhere. He warned against the false propaganda whereby the party candidates were projected to be weak and said, all the survey reports have shown that the Congress was winning all the nine seats in Ludhiana parliamentary constituency.
Capt Amarinder said, the sharp division in Akali votes, as at both the places there was one Akali rebel each, in Atam Nagar and Ludhiana South was proving to be a great advantage for the Congress and the party candidates were winning with a huge margin.
