HAEMOPHILIC WELFARE SOCIETY ORGANISES OPEN CLINIC ON FEBRUARY 5

CHANDIGARH FEBRUARY 03: The Chandigarh Chapter of Haemophilic Federation of India is organising a one-day open clinic for patients with Haemophilia (PWHs) at Community Centre in Sector 15-D on 5h February (Sunday) at 10.00 a.m. for the effective treatment and management of the congenital disorder.
    The Mayor of Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh Raj Bala Malik will inaugurate the clinic and preside over the function.  Nearly 450 patients from Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir are likely to attend the open clinic
    Disclosing this here today, Finance Secretary of the Society Dr. Maghar Singh said that the patients would be given physiotherapy for the treatment of stiff joints.  Vaccination of Hepatitis-B would be provided to all the patients besides administering the required doses of factor VIII or IX free of cost to the needy patient in the clinic.
    An Annual General Body meeting would also be held to elect the Executive and office bearers for the year 2011-12 and financial report of the year 2010-11 would also be presented.  President of the Society Dr. VK Chhabra would also interact with the patients for the effective treatment of haemophilia.
    The medical experts and haematologist would also inform the patients about the latest research and development in the field of haemophilia. Besides, eminent dentists Dr. Abhitej Mehtani and Dr. Mrs Pooja Mehtani and Dr.Pallavi Saini & Dr. Pallavi Gupta, Physiotherapists would also address and attend the patients.
