PAU HORTICULTURIST CONFERRED FELLOWSHIP

LUDHIANA, FEBRUARY 3: Dr M.I.S. Gill, Senior Horticulturist of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has been conferred “Fellowship of the Horticultural Society” (2011) by the Horticultural Society of India, in recognition of his contributions to horticulture. Dr Gill has made several recommendations on production, processing, protection and post-harvest technologies. He is the In-charge of the “All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) on Sub-tropical Fruits” at Ludhiana centre and is working on guava and grapes under this project. Dr Gill is a recipient of many awards and honours. Recently, he was awarded “Scroll of Appreciation” for his team work on “AICRP project on Sub-tropical Fruits” during 20th Group Workers Meet, held at Tamil Nadu. He worked for his Post Doctoral Research at University of Nottingham, U.K.
