Himachal conferred ‘Best Investment Friendly State’ Award

SHIMLA 8th February 2012 : Himachal Pradesh has been conferred the ‘Best Investment Friendly State’ Award for ranking on the top position in the country in The Sunday Indian-Abacus Market Research ‘State of the States independent survey’ conducted by Planman Media, a multi-lingual Media Group of the Country.  This was revealed by Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister on getting the communication in this respect today. With this the tally of the Awards conferred on the State in last 49 months, the present Government’s regime goes upto 55.
Chief Minister said that this amply speaks that NDA ruled States were performing better than Congress governed States in the country and performance of these States had been adjudged the Best in the Country. He said that the PLANMAN MEDIA had conducted independent study on administrative reforms, communal harmony, e-governance, girl child education, industrialization, investment friendly environment, law and order, Public Distribution System and public health services etc.  He said that besides establishing its identity as a front runner State, Himachal Pradesh has been adjudged ‘Star State’ in Investment Friendly States of the country.  He said that the Media Group had adopted different important parameters of development and good governance to judge the Star State in different categories after taking all related aspects into consideration, visited the States and interviewed different sections of the society before declaring the winner.
Prof. Dhumal dedicated the Award to the people  of the State who were the driving force behind all such achievements and thanked them for their continuous support to the policies and programmes of the Government.  He said that such Awards had been instrumental in motivating the government in working more dedicatedly for the overall development of the State.
