Amritsar, February 14- A 3-Week Refresher Course in Commerce and Management for University & College teachers was inaugurated at Guru Nanak Dev University under the aegis of its Academic Staff College (ASC) here today in which around 21 teachers from various Universities are participating. This course is being organised by the Dept. of Commerce and Business Management of the University.
Mr. Kamal Dalmia, Dalmia Charitable Trust, Amritsar inaugurated this course. Dr. Jaspal Singh, Course-Cordinator welcomed the chief guest and others. Dr. Satish Verma, Director, Academic Staff College detailed about the activities of the ASC. Dr. Balwinder Singh from Commerce and Business Manangement Department presented vote of thanks on this occasion. Dr. Lakhwinder Singh, Dr. Mandeep Kaur and Dr. Gagandeep Kaur and Research Fellows of the Department were also present.
Mr. Dalmia while speaking on this occasion said that Commerce and Business Management subject has emerged as important subject in this era and directly related to common man. He said that teachers are considered as Gurus, who desiminate knowledge in the society. He said that the teaching of religious books should also be included in studies in order to enhance the moral values of the students.
