Dr. R.P.S. Josh, Fellow Panjab University met Prof. R.C. Sobti, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh today and gave a memorandum to him. He demanded that
1. The CPF should be deducted as per The Panjab University calendar norms that is 10 per cent of the total salary in the affiliated colleges (aided/unaided) from the date of enforcement of this scheme, i.e., since 1986. The teachers are suffering due to this discrepancy.

A fact finding committee should be constituted to do surprise checks in the colleges and the teachers must be paid salary as per U.G.C. norms as they are appointed following such norms.

Similarly, in undergraduate classes the teachers should be paid for five sessions as they conduct practicals in 15 hours which comes out to be 5 sessions.
