CHANDIGARH, MAY 15: The Punjab Government Today issued instructions to all the departments, boards and corporations to purchase their requirements on priorties from khadi board outlets besides khadi bhandar, director general stores and disposal and super bazaars outlets.
Issuing these instructions Mr. Anil Joshi industry and commerce minister said that it was the bounded duties of government to support khadi industry and all governments should ensure to purchase these goods from such units. He said that khadi industry in Punjab was giving direct and indirect employment to lakhs of people and was backbone of village economy.
He said that khadi industry were maintaining super quality control to compete with organized sector and SAD-BJP government was fully committed to support such units.
