DPS makes Mothers feel special on Mother’s Day

Amritsar 16th May, 2012 :  A special function was organized at Delhi Public School to pay tribute to mothers for all their love and support and to make them feel special on Mother’s Day.
 The Principal Mrs Sangeeta Singh while addressing the gathered students and their mothers said ‘Mother’s Day is a celebration honoring mothers and celebrating motherhood, maternal bonds and the influence of mothers in society. By and large, mothers are the only workers who do not have regular time off. They are the great vacation less class.’
The programme was inaugurated with lighting of ‘diyas and a touching prayer for the most important person in each of our lives- ‘Our Mother’. A number of mothers among who participated on the occasion sang songs on the theme of Mothers. While some mothers presented dance numbers and enthralled their children, their classmates and school faculty. Some mothers exhibited their crafts pieces and gave embroidery tips. Many of the mothers were talented chefs shared the recipes of their favorite easy to make dishes with students.
Fun games like Ring the target, Knot the tie, Mom and me (questionnaire) Musical chairs and Lemon race for mothers brought back their childhood memories. The children were seen cheering their mothers.
At the end of the function each mother was presented a flower and a tight hug by each of her children to make the moment special for her.
