Amritsar, May 18-The Department of Botanical & Environmental Sciences of the Guru Nanak Dev University is organizing ‘International Biodiversity Day’ on May 22 in the Guru Nanak Bhavan Auditorium of the University at 11.00 am. This day is being organized in collaboration with ‘Punjab Biodiversity Board’ and sponsored by National Biodiversity Authority, Govt. of India.
Dr. Adarsh Pal Vig, Head of the Department said that the event would include lectures from faculty members and experts, a brief film screening and announcement of the ‘Photography with Caption Contest’ prize winners. He said that the winners would be honored with cash prizes and certificates on the occasion.
