Chandigarh, May 18: Punjab Government has decided to launch a vigorous campaign to vacate the encroached land of forest department by public. Disclosing this here today Mr. Surjit Kumar Jayani Forest Minister Punjab said here today that in light of verdict given by the honorable court the department had initiated the action to vacate the unauthorized occupied land of the forest department. He further said that the instructions regarding this has been issued to all district forest officers and they were asked to report with in a week period after implementing these orders in letter and spirit. He also said that 50 acre land of village Fatehpur and Bhagala of District Roopnagar which was occupied illegally had already been vacated by the District Forest officer Roopnagar. No laxity would be tolerated at any level, added minister.
