CHANDIGARH, MAY 21: The Punjab’s Industry, Commerce and Technical Education Minister Mr. Anil Joshi has ordered all the departments falling under his Ministry to stop unnecessary expenditures immediately.
Disclosing this here today Mr. Joshi said that strict instructions have been issued to all the concerned authorities that only those items required in emergency should be purchased. He said that the departments must get his prior approval while making any purchase above Rs.10,000/- and also ensure that their expenditure should not be exceeded from the allocated budget by the Finance department. He said that any official failing to implement these instructions would face strict action.
