MALUKA ASKS STRIKING TEACHERS TO APPROACH CONCERNED OFFICERS

Chandigarh June 11:-    The Contractual teachers employed under different centrally sponsored schemes are resorting to unethical and illegal demonstrations that maligns the pious profession of teaching in the state but the Punjab Government would dealt the striking teachers with the law of the land. This was disclosed here by the Education Minister Punjab Mr. Sikandar Singh Maluka.
He added that common man and the traders are unhappy with this type of strikes being called by the contractual teachers. "The education department will never tolerate such unethical demonstration and will not accept any illegal demands. The striking employees have to approach concerned officers to resolve their demands in peaceful manner" said Mr. Maluka.
    He added that as the teachers have already accepted the laid down conditions for entry to the jobs on the affidavits but still they are violating the oaths taken and the civil service rules by resorting to demonstrations. He categorically said that the Punjab Government would usher a new era in the education department by reforming the teaching practices to provide quality education to the children. He asked the parents, children and sympathizers to advise the striking teachers to end their demonstrations who were playing in the hands of opposition to divert the attention of people from the progress and development being undertaken by the state government.
