Amritsar 12th June, 2012-:All India Women Conference – A National NGO for the upliftment of women and girl child held a free check up “Cancer Awareness” camp at the NGO’s Head office in shariefpura locality in Amritsar today .On the occasion AIWC President Mrs Rajni Bhrany along with NGO patron Mrs Ranjit Chattha and members welcomed a 3- member medical team for the free camp.As many 150 women and young girls from different walks of life attended the camp.The three-member medical team comprised Dr Sita Sharma , Dr Sheetal Sharma , Dr Krishna Beri who apprised the audience about the types of cancer and gave tips on precautions especially related to hygiene amongst girls and women .They informed about common cancers in women especially breast cancer , cervic cancer etc .The patients were given free check ups at the AIWC premises.Other Members Present on the occasion were Mrs.Prem Duggal, Mrs.Usha Chaba, Mrs.M.K.Soch, Mrs.Promila Sen, Mrs.Kamal Arora, Mrs.Kailash Mahajan, Mrs.Kamlesh Sharma, Ms.Jasbir Kaur Advocate and Staff of AIWC.
