ADMISSIONS TO NEWLY SET UP 7 POLYTECHNICS TO START FROM THIS ACADEMIC SESSION- JOSHI

Chandigarh, June 13:Admissions in the newly set up 7 polytechnics would start from this academic session giving an opportunity to thousands of students to get quality vocational education.
Stating this here today Technical Education and Industry Minister Mr Anil Joshi said that the Punjab Government has set up 7 new polytechnic colleges in semi urban and rural areas of those districts that had no government technical college till now across the state.
          He said that Punjab Government was fully committed to provide technical education to students residing in the semi urban and rural areas of Punjab. He said that earlier the Punjab Government has identified seven Districts who had no government polytechnic college and student had to travel miles to go for study in adjoining districts. He said that admission in new colleges would be started from the current session. 
Mr Joshi said that the new polytechnic colleges has been set up at Breta in Mansa, Kotkapura in Faridkot, Fatuhi Khera in Mukatsar, Behram in SBS Nagar, Begowal in Kapurthala, Ranvan in Fatehgarh Sahib and Badbar in District Barnala.
The Minister said that the construction of buildings for these colleges has been completed. Besides that ultra modern technical equipments and other requirements has been provided in these colleges and these polytechnics are now ready to welcome new students.
