Subject: – I urge all like minded secular parties of the state to put up a united fight for the Dasuya by poll.
As we are aware, by election for Dasuya constituency is slated for 11th July 2012. In order to save democracy in Punjab, it is highly imperative for all like minded secular parties to come on one platform to oppose the ruling SAD-BJP alliance in Dasuya.
Needless to mention, Badal clan that mastered the art of winning elections through money-muscle-drug power long ago in their home district of Muktsar has now spread this menace to the whole state. Unfortunately the unresolved issues of the people such as education, health, unemployment, drugs, rampant corruption etc were replaced by management and manipulation of Sukhbir Badal in the 2012 Vidhan Sabha elections.
Even the just concluded Municipal elections were nothing but a farce, murder and rape of democracy by misuse of state power by the SAD-BJP govt. Murder, arson, violence, hacking of EVM’s, intimidation are the new tricks of the trade of the Badal duo to win elections.
Therefore, in order to save democracy and to oppose tooth and nail the anti people and oppressive policies of the present govt., it is highly imperative for secular parties to come on one platform. I urge the Congress party and its state leadership being the biggest opposition party to initiate a dialogue, bring on one platform the PPP, CPI, CPM, BSP and various Kisan Unions to fight the Dasuya by poll.
There is an urgent and dire need to unite at this juncture to put an end to the unconstitutional, autocratic gross misrule, misuse of civil and police machinery and this can only be done if all like minded forces come together. A spirited and united fight in Dasuya can signal the beginning of the end of ‘jungle raj’ being perpetrated upon the people by the Badal family.
