CHANDIGARH. June 13, The Punjab government today issued instructions to all the departments to conduct census of women with disabilities. The data thus collected would be used to frame policies for the welfare of this marginalized section of society.
Disclosing this here today a spokesman of Punjab government said that the government was fully committed for the over all development of weaker sections of society.
He said that the state government had issued instructions to all the department heads and deputy commissioners to prepare a data base of all the women with disability working in all government departments by conducting census. They have been directed to send this data to the state government. He said that this report would further be sent to union government
