Amritsar, June 13- Prof. Ajaib Singh Brar, Vice-Chancellor Guru Nanak Dev University inaugurated a Refresher Course on Health and Life Sciences. This course is being organized for the teachers of Food Technology, Nutrition, Home Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Sports Medicine, Physiotherapy and Bio-Sciences.
Prof. T.S. Banipal, Director, Academic Staff College welcomed the chief guest and others. Prof. B. S. Chadha, Course Co-coordinator detailed about the Refresher Course. Prof A.S. Bhanwar, Dean, Life Sciences presented vote of thanks on this occasion.
Prof. Brar advised the teachers to become role models for their students. He discussed the various flaws in our education system & asked the teachers to make sincere efforts to eliminate them. He emphasized that it is only quality education that can lead to the overall development of society.
He said that the teachers will have to change their mindset and adapt themselves to the fast changing developments in the various fields of education. He said that the teachers have to play a significant role in order to make the future generation competent enough to meet the various challenges in the today global world.
Prof. T.S. Banipal emphasized the usefulness of such courses for the teachers. He stressed on the holistic development of the teachers.
