Mohd Sadiq lashes out at Badal, Majithia

LUDHIANA, June 30: Bhadaur MLA Mohd Sadiq today lashed out at the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and the revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia for first asking him to sing in the assembly then ridiculing and making fun of him.
Talking to reporters here today, Sadiq said, he was pained to know that the senior most MLA in the house who had become the Chief Minister for the fifth time had indulged in ragging of a fresher.
He said, since he respected Mr Badal a lot, he sang a patriotic song in the house knowing little that he would be ridiculed for the same. "I am pained and shocked to realise that a senior leader like Mr Badal could stoop so low to humiliate a member who respected him so much", he said.
Sadiq maintained that in the hindsight he has realised that it was a preplan to mock at him and deviate from the serious discussion the congress Legislative Party leader had initiated in the house.
Referring to Majithia’s crticism of him over singing in the house, Sadiq said, it was surprising that Majithia was reacting like that when he knew it was only at Mr Badal’s behest that he had presented a song in the house.
