Fatehgarh Sahib, August 16:Manpreet’s hatchling party Peoples Party of Punjab (PPP) get decimated on Wednesday as Mr. Didar Singh Bhatti, former MLA announced his unconditional return to the parent party Shiromani Akali Dal along with his son Mr. Gurwinder Singh Bhatti, President Nagar Council Sirhind and thousand of his supporters in the presence of party President and Deputy Chief Minister Punjab Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal.
Addressing a massive gathering here, Mr. Badal welcomed Mr. Didar Singh Bhatti and his supporters in the party folds. He said that the homecoming of a dedicated political leader like Mr. Bhatti, matters a lot for the party’s strength. He said that Manpreet’s political ambitions got vanished with the decimation of PPP. Mr. Badal said that the leaders, who joined PPP, have understood the hollowness of total experiment and now PPP was a single man party. ‘History witnessed that whosoever left Shiromani Akali Dal had lost his political existence’, Mr. Badal added. He said that the party would give due respect and responsibilities to Mr. Bhatti.
Earlier talking to media persons at the residence of Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra, Mr. Badal said that party is stronger than individuals. He said that even if Sukhbir Singh Badal left the Akali Dal, he would be finished and not the party. Replying a query, Mr. Badal said that party would welcome any leader in the party folds only if he had faith in the vision, policies and programs of Shiromani Akali Dal.
Announcing his unconditional return to the party, Mr. Bhatti said that every sincere political leader of the state had become aware of the fact that the people friendly policies of Shiromani Akali Dal have made party’s everlasting place in the hearts of Punjabis. He said that pro-people policies of party Patron Mr. Parkash Singh Badal and vision of party President Sukhbir Singh Badal had not only ensured the Akali government in the state for next 25 years but also put the Punjab in the higher orbit of glory and development. He promised to work with full dedication for the betterment of the party. It may be added that Bhatti’s desertion was considered as major jolt to the PPP as it has already lost almost all of its major leaders.
Prominent amongst others Mr. Surjit Singh Rakhra, Cabinet Minister, Justice Nirmal Singh, MLA, Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra, General Secretary SAD, Mr. Ranjit Singh Libra, Member Working Committee SAD, Bhai Gurpreet Singh Randhawa, member SGPC, Mr. Jagdeep Singh Cheema, District President SAD also addressed the gathering and welcomed Mr. Bhatti back into the party folds.
