Amritsar, August 24( Bharatsandesh news )– Computer Science and Engineering Department of the Guru Nanak Dev University won Inter-Departmental Chess Championship. This Championship was concluded at Students Centre of the University.
Prof. P.K. Shejpal, Dean, Students Welfare was the chief guest and gave away trophies to the winners. Dr. H.S. Randhawa, Deputy Director Sports (Campus) welcomed the chief guest and others. Ten teams of women and eight teams of men participated in this competition.
In men section, Computer Science and Engineeing Department beats Electronics Technology Department by 6 points. Similarly, Electronics Technology Department won over Applied Chemical Sciences and Technology Department by 4 points and remained at second and third position.
In women section, Electronics Technology Department got first position with 6 points, Food Science and Technology Department remained with two points and Commerce and Business Management Department finished 3rd.
