Shri Shankrayacharya University of Sanskrit, Kerala adjuded best disciplined team
Amritsar, August 24 ( ( Bharatsandesh news )– )- Ms. Amanjot Kaur from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar was adjudged the Best Camper while Mr. Navdeep Singh from Guru Angad Dev Vetenary and Animal Science University, Ludhiana was second best Camper and Shri Shankrayacharya University of Sanskrit, Kerala was the best disciplined team and Puna University was declared second best disciplined team in the National Youth Leadership Camp which was concluded recently at the University Students Holiday Home, Dalhousie. This 5-day camp was organized by the Department of Youth Welfare of the Guru Nanak Dev University and sponsored by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.
Prof. A. S. Brar, Vice-Chancellor presided over the inaugural function while Lady Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Sarvjit Kaur Brar was guest of honour on this occasion. Dr. Jagjit Kaur, Director, Youth Welfare welcome the chief guest and others. She also detailed about the activities of the camp.
Dr. Jagjit Kaur said that during this camp, the campers were taken to Panchpula, Kala Top, Dain Kund, Khajjiar and Dalhousie for sight seeing and trekking. Competitive events including extempore, debate, folk song, poetical recitation and dancing showcased the great talent hidden inside the youth on this occasion. She said that every day yoga classes were organized for the campers.
During camp Dr. Kamala from Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Mahalpur, Prof. Poonam Kohli from BBK DAV College, Amritsar and Prof. Manjit Singh Dhall from Guru Nanak Dev University College, Jalandhar delivered their lectures on the social evils prevailing in our society.
Dr. G.S. Dhillon, Principal Dalhousie Public School, Dalhousie presided over the valedictory function while Shri Praveen Khanna, Eminent Business Man from Dalhousie was the guest of honour at this occasion. They also gave away the prizes to the winners.
