Chandigarh- August 28, 2012: The Yuvsatta in association with State AIDS Control Society (SACS), UT, Chandigarh organized a programme “Empowering Women Empowering Society” in Manimajra.Around 200 females participated in this programme. Mrs. Lalit Joshi Chairperson Social Welfare Board was the Chief Guest. She also shared about the women rights and about the government schemes for women in India. And inspired women to fight and take stand for their rights.
Mrs. Sangeeta Vardhan Founder President Vatsal Chaya shared her experiences of working with women of marginalized sections. A Mehndi competition was also organized on the occasion and Prizes were distributed to the winners. A Puppet Show on HIV/AIDS was also an added attraction of the day.
