ASKS DC FOR VIDEO GRAPHING THE ENTIRE PROCESS OF PLOT AUCTION AT RAJPURA
CONSTITUTES 7-MEMBER SOCIETY FOR MANAGEMENT OF TRIPARI COMMUNITY CENTRE

Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today gave nod to sanction Rs. 4 crore for the ongoing water supply, Sewerage and setting up of Sewage Treatment Plant works at Rajpura.
A decision to this effect was taken by Mr. Badal during the 94th meeting of the PEPSU Township Development Board (PTDB) here at Chief Minister’s office.
Taking part in the deliberations, Mr. Badal categorically said that Sewerage and Sewage Treatment Plant works must be given top priority and directed the Deputy Commissioner to review the development works regularly.
The Chief Minister also approved to constitute a 7-membere society headed by Deputy Commissioner Patiala and comprising three each official and non-official members for the management of newly constructed Community centre at a cost of Rs. 2.51 crore over 1.25 acre at Tripari.
It was also informed in the meeting that several government offices had been shifted to newly constructed Mini Secretariat complex at Rajpura with a cost of Rs. 14.36 crore, whereas the phase-I of Multi-disciplinary academy at a cost of Rs. 8.31 crore had also been completed. Regarding the prestigious Rs. 29.74 crore Rain Basera project, under which 720 flats for the poor families were being constructed, the Board had contributed Rs. 11 crore against its share of Rs. 21.52 crore and Government of India Rs. 4.11 crore against its share of Rs. 8.22 crore.
Reviewing the process of auction to be held for different residential and commercial plots over vacant land of the Board at Bhogla colony, Shaheed Bhagat Singh colony, Partap colony, Guru Arjan Dev extension colony and other places in Rajpura, Mr. Badal asked the deputy commissioner to conduct a auction in a transparent manner through video graphing the entire process.
Regarding the issue of resumption of plots under Pepsu Township Development Board Disposal of Property Rules -2003 of 14 defaulters on account of non payment, Mr. Badal asked the administration to grant them a last chance by giving two months time for clearing their dues. He also approved to constitute a panel of Advocates to peruse various cases of the Board in different Courts.
