Vancouver, Oct 2012 ((BharatSandesh News):– Joe Daniel, MP from Don Valley East presented Joginder S. Kalsi with a Queen’s Diamond Jubilee medal for his services as a film producer, community worker in Canadaand for his philanthropic endeavours of establishing a library and computer center in rural Punjab.
Kalsi has been creatively active, socially vibrant, and philanthropically contributing ever since he moved to UK in 1961 and later to Toronto in 1974, Daniel noted. He has played a vital role to help build a better community by integrating his human values, culture, traditions, personal and professional expertise, the MP added.
Later, addressing the audience, Kalsi thanked his community for supporting him and attributed his award to his community which he humbly receives on their behalf. He thanked Daniel not only for recommending his name for the award but also personally doing the honour of presenting it.
