SCOTTISH TEAM SURPRISED TO SEE THE PASSION OF PUNJABIS FOR THE GAME OF KABADDI: SCOTTISH CAPTAIN BIAIR HAWTHORN
Bathinda/Chandigarh, 1st December 2012:– The Scottish Kabaddi team adoring in their traditional attire of skirt shape dress today captivated the audience when they entered the ground to participate in the World Cup Kabaddi-2012.
This team, from the north-end of globe, has descended for the first time to participate in the mother game of Punjabis-Kabaddi. The entire stadium resounded with claps to welcome the guest Scottish team.
Speaking with the media, the captain of the Scottish team Mr. Biair Hawthorn said that they are surprised to see the love of Punjabis for the game of Kabaddi. He said that the passion of Punjabis for Kabaddi is the same as scottish people love the football game.
Mr. Hawthron further said, ‘the game of Kabaddi caught the attention world-wide, when the Punjab Government had successfully managed to launch the Kabaddi at the world platform by conducting World Cup Kabaddi in 2010 first time”. He said that under the motivation and insipration of Punjabis living in Scottland, they mastered the techniques of Kabaddi in a very short span of time. He eulogized their coach Mr. Prem singh (Jalandhar based NRI) for his efforts in the constitution of Scottish Kabaddi team.
