Zafar Lohar preformed at GNDU

Amritsar, December 10 – Mr. Zafar Lohar, Disciple of Eminent Punjabi Pakistani Folk Singer,  Mr. Alam Lohar enthralled the audience with his spellbound performance during the ongoing refresher course on Visual and Performing Arts in the Guru Nanak Bhawan Auditorium of the Guru Nanak Dev University. This refresher course is being organized by the Academic Staff College in association with the Department of Music of the University.
    Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, Coordinator welcomed the chief guest and introduced him to the participants. Mr. R.K. Mahajan, Principal, DAV College, Giddarbaha, Dr. Prateek Chaudhary, Dr. Dinesh, Ayurveda Charya were also present on this occasion.
      Mr. Zafar mesmerized the participants with Kafi of Bulle Shah and Mitti Da Bawa with traditional Dhol and Chimta instruments. Mohd. Zaman, Dholi was also accompanying him during his performance. He also appraised the participants with folk music and instruments being used in Pakistan. He also expressed his gratitude towards the University for inviting him to interact with the participants of the refresher course.
    Dr. Gurpreet Kaur honoured Mr. Zafar and Mr. Zaman with memento on behalf of the University.
