Moga, 23 February 2013:–: S. Sukhbir Singh Badal, President Shiromani Akali Dal and Deputy Chief Minister Punjab today thanked the people of Moga, government officials and the election commission for ensuring a free, fair and peaceful by-poll in Moga. He said that it was a crucial exercise but carried out in a free and fair manner sealing the lips of critics.
In a statement issued here, Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the smooth conduct of the Moga by-elections had totally exposed the falsehood behind Captain Amarinder Singh and other Punjab Congress leaders’ propaganda that the poll process in the Moga by-poll would not be a clean and impartial affair. “I take this opportunity to reach to all our party workers and leaders, elders, colleagues, members of various organizations and groups and journalists for extending their cooperation and help. This peaceful exercise was impossible without the rock kind of support extended by these sections of society. The rigorous election campaign has also proved to be a practical tool to study problem of masses at grass root level, who loves our development agenda and also suggested solution for administrative reforms”, added Mr. Badal.
Reiterating his commitment of overall development of the state, Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal said that SAD-BJP alliance was not fighting against individuals, but against the anti Punjab Congress party. He said that the Punjab Congressmen were quitting the Congress as they were feeling suffocated in such anti people and anti state party. Mr. Badal said that SAD-BJP alliance was dedicated for the overall development of the state besides implementing administrative reforms to fulfill our duty to provide our people a better place to live.
