MARCH-24, WORLD TB DAY, India targets to detect 90% of TB cases and successfully treat 90% by 2015
World TB day was celebrated by the MBBS and School of Nursing of IG Medical College Shimla along with Collaboration with State Task Force RNTCP Himachal Pradesh. And Shimla Branch of Indian Medical Association The Theme for This Year was “Stop TB in my life Time”The event was organized by the Department of Community Medicine IG Medical College Shimla in collaboration with State task force RNTCP.
Following Events were observed;
1 Poster Completion among Medical and Nursing Students in college Campus on 23rd march 2013 on the Eve of World TB day
2 Walkathon by the more than 250 Students of MBBS, & College of Nursing IG Medical College from the IG Hospital to Chaura maidan and back.TheWALKATHON-was Flagged off by Director Medical education Dr Mrs Jaishree Shrma & Senior Medical Supredent Dr Rramesh Chand and Dr Anil Orhi President Indian Medical Association & Important Persons were Dr Anmol Gupta Nodal Officer for this event Dr Brij Sharma Department of Gasteroentrology.Dr Anupam Parashar Associate Professor Department of Community Medicine.Dr Sunil from Department of Pathology & Dr pyuish Kapila from Department of Forensic medicine Dr Anmol Gupta told that the Objective of World TB day celebration to create awareness among general masses that this disease is now totally curable and Drugs are being distributed free of cost all hospitals of Himachal Pradesh
