BASE LINE EVALUATION ON APRIL 9 FOR QUALITATIVE IMPROVEMENT IN THE UPPAR PRIMARY CLASSES: MALUKA

   The Punjab Education department has decided to start special base line evaluation to bring about qualitative improvement in the education standard of all the students studying in 6th, 7th and 8th classes in the government schools of the state. This base line evaluation would commence on April 9.Disclosing this here today Punjab Education and Language minister punjab Mr. Sikandar Singh Maluka said that under this project it was aimed to bring qualitative improvement in the education of students studying in upper primary classes. He said that basic purpose of this evaluation is to access the knowledge, information and maturity of students regarding Social Studies subject so that required corrective steps could be taken. Minister further said that class wise evaluation letters of Social Sudies was made available on SSA Punjab website and concerned teacher would keep record of class wise evaluation of each student.  Minister asked the Director General School Education (DGSE) to ensure the evolution process free from mal practices and coping by the students.Minister also directed the teachers to make concerted efforts for those students who were lagging behind in evaluation in next two months with their regular syllabus. He also said that after two months the education department through Social Studies teacher would ensure post evaluation of the subject and after studying the result new targets and methods would be chalked out for improvement in education near future. He said that subject expert DRP (Social Studies) would monitor the evaluation process. He said that a special PRAVESH project is being run in the primary schools of the state to bring qualitative improvement in the education of the students. He said that positive result has been reported for this project.
