MOVE AIMED AT TAPPING EXPORT POTENTIAL OF FRUITS AND VEGETABLES
CHANDIGARH MAY 30(Bharatsandesh news): In a bid to boost the agriculture diversification program, the Punjab government has decided to exempt the market fee on the fruits and vegetables exported to the various countries across the globe.
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Chief Minister Office said that a decision to this effect was taken by the Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal in response to the proposal mooted by the Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal for giving major fillip to the exports of fruits and vegetables from the state.
To facilitate the vegetables and fruits growers who intend to exports their produce, the Chief Minister has approved the exemption of market fee by amending Rule 30(10) and Form K-3 of “The Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets (General) Rules, 1962”.
