New industrial policy is directionless: Fateh Jung Singh Bajwa

Chandigarh, June 4-(   Bharatsandesh news          – Mr.Fateh Jung Singh Bajwa General Secretary Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) today said that new industrial policy announced by SAD-BJP government was directionless and provides no relief to sick industry.
In a statement issued here Mr.Bajwa said that industrialists who are on verge of closing their units had pinned big hopes on the new industrial policy but it has disappointed them. The SAD-BJP government has failed to give any relief to the industrial units planning to shift to other states.
He said that industrial development was not on priority agenda of Chief Minister Mr.Parkash Singh Badal and the Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal has no vision future of Punjab. He said that Mr.Sukhbir Badal had shown the dream of industrial revolution but in fact his new policy is going to play disaster with the economy of the state. He said that Chief Minister left the cabinet meeting midway before approval of the industrial policy shows his seriousness on the issue.
Mr.Bajwa said that no new thermal plant has started functioning and power rates in Punjab are so high that no industry can survive the competition. He said that even in the public sector 31 out of 53 factories are showing loss of Rs.1500 crores.
He said that no special package was given to small scale industry which provides self employment to skilled youth and jobs to local youth. He said that there were about 2 lakh small scale industrial units and 50 lakhs medium units which were not covered under the new policy. He said that no steps were taken to end the inspec
