Amritsar , June 25 ( Bharatsandesh news ) Dr Charanjit Singh Gumtala, patron, Amritsar Vikas Manch has condemned the assault of Director general of school education (DGSE), Punjab, S Kahan Singh Pannu, who is supervising rescue operations in Uttarakhand, by a group of pilgrims at Gobind Ghat on Monday.In a press statement Gumtala stated that It is highly condemnable act .People should have patience .Victims of these floods should welcome who so ever come to help and not to misbehave I listened S.Kahan Singh Pannu interview on American Punjabi channel Get Punjabi at 6 AM Indian time to day.When asked by anchor S Gurcharanjit Singh Lamba , Mr Pannu said there was policy to evacuate the pilgrims. According to this policy first of all ills , old and children were to be evacuated but some persons wanted to go first in violation of this policy.He told them about this policy and requested them to waite but they insisted to go first and they misbehaved .The treatment meted with Mr Pannu as shown in video is intolerable and must be condemned by all.Mr Pannu when he was deputy commissioner Amritsar did a lot of work and citizens still remember him as a hard worker. Instead of appreciating him some pilgrims did which cannot be expected. Turban is a symbol of Sikh community, who so ever removes turban he insults the whole Sikh community . AVM patron has demanded the appropriate action against those persons who misbehaved with him
