30 August(Bharat Sandesh)Aiming at promoting good health as per our rich Indian Culture and to commemorate 150th year celebration, ECO Club and Arya Yuva Samaj, Patiala and D.A.V. Public School, Patiala organized a venture of ‘Free Tulsi Plant distribution’. About 500 saplings of ‘Tulsi – a medicinal & magical herb’ were distributed among the students and the staff members. Along with this Ms. P. Pal Kaur, Incharge ECO Club also distributed pamphlets among the students to acquaint them with the medicinal value of this magical herb.
Presence of Aacharya Sh. Hari Shankar Ji on this auspicious event was indeed an added flavor to this pious event. He enlightened the students about the significance of students’ life. He motivated them that hard work is the only key to success and they should follow it.
Principal S.R. Prabhakar guided the students about the valuable herb Tulsi and told them ‘one should grow and take care of this sacred herb as apart from its medicinal value. It is also worshiped.
Other dignitaries present were Col. Bishan Dass, Col. Sukhdev Singh, S. Surinder Singh, Capt. Joginder Singh and Surinder Nath Sharma of Global Human Service Organization. Bijendra Shastri, Incharge Arya Yuva Samaj thanked all the guests and dignitaries present for making today’s event a big success.
