Amritsar: A special function was organized in Amritsar at Shaheed Bohar memorial in Guru Teg Bahdur Hospital Complex near Ram Bagh in memory of those Naamdahris who sacrificed their life on 15 September 1871 under the same Boharh (Banyan tree). These Naamdahris murdered those butchers who used to kill cows in a slaughter house near Golden Temple a d the Namdahris were hanged with the Banyan tree.
The function of remembrance was attended by Shri Satguru Uday Singh, Dr. Rajkumar Verka Vice Chairman National Commission for Scheduled Castes, S Veer Singh Lopoke, S Sukhpal Singh Khehra and others were present.
