Amritsar, 29th Jan 2014 (Bharat Sandesh News):– Dr Charanjit Singh Gumtala, patron of Amritsar Vikas Manch has sought the payment of income tax of the pensioners and employees from the Punjab Govt. treasury. It may be noted that since 2007 the state has paid tax on behalf of the Chief Minister, Ministers and MLAs. Mr Gumtala has shot off a personal letter to Chief Minister S. Parkash Singh Badal drawing his attention to this important matter when government is always talking about austerity.
He said as Punjab Government has paid Rs. 91.69 lacs as income tax of the MLAs for the period 2007-08 to 2012-13 & the Government paid Rs.2.04 lac as income tax of the former Chief Minister Captain Amrinder Singh, Rs.37.52 lacs as income tax of the present Chief Minister S. Parkash Singh Badal and Rs.10.16 lacs of deputy CM S. Sukhbir Singh Badal for the same period. It is surprising to know why income tax of these millionaires and billionaire politicians is being from the Govt. treasury when other employees are not availing the same facility? It is discrimination. Justice demands that pensioners and other employees should be given the same facility.

ਅੰਮਿ੍ਤਸਰ, 29 ਜਨਵਰੀ (ਭਾਰਤ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਖ਼ਬਰਾਂ):– ਅੰਮਿ੍ਤਸਰ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਮੰਚ ਦੇ ਸਰਪ੍ਰਸਤ ਡਾ. ਚਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੁਮਟਾਲਾ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ-ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ. ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਨਿਜੀ ਪੱਤਰ ਲਿਖ ਕੇ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ 2007 ਤੋਂ ਹੁਣ ਤੀਕ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਮਦਨ ਕਰ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਖਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਅਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁੱਖ-ਮੰਤਰੀ, ਮੰਤਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਖਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਅਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਜਨਤਾ ਦੇ ਟੈਕਸਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਕੱਤਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਉਪਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਹੱਕ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੁੱਖ-ਮੰਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕਾਂ ਦਾ। ਇਕ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਤੇ ਕਲਰਕ ਵਰਗਾ ਘੱਟ ਤਨਖਾਹ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਮਹਿੰਗਾਈ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਗੁਜਾਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਬੜੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਇਨਕਮ ਟੈਕਸ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੇਬ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਦੇਵੇ ਪਰ ਕ੍ਰੋੜਾਂ-ਪੱਤੀ ਤੇ ਅਰਬ-ਪਤੀ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਤੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਮਦਨ ਕਰ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਖ਼ਜਾਨੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਦੇਵੇ, ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਵਿਤਕਰਾ ਹੈ। ਹੈਰਾਨੀ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਾਂਗਰਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਤੌਰ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਰਿਆਇਤ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
2007-08 ਤੋਂ 2012-13 ਤੱਕ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਖਜਾਨੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਵਿਧਾਇਕਾਂ ਦੇ 91 ਲੱਖ 69 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਰੁਪਏ ਬਤੌਰ ਆਮਦਨ ਕਰ ਭਰੇ ਗਏ। ਇਸੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਮੁੱਖ-ਮੰਤਰੀ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਖਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਆਮਦਨ ਕਰ 2 ਲੱਖ 4 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਰੁਪਏ ਭਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਆਮਦਨ ਕਰ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ-ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ. ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਦਾ ਅਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਰਕਮ 37 ਲੱਖ 52 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਰੁਪਏ ਸੀ॥ ਉਪ ਮੁੱਖ-ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ. ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਦੇ 10 ਲੱਖ 16 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਰੁਪਏ ਬਤੌਰ ਇਨਕਮ ਟੈਕਸ ਅਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।
