Judicial enquiry of Bathinda tragedy demanded

AMRITSAR, February 9, 2014(Bharatsandesh news): Dr. Charanjit Singh Gumtala, patron Amritsar Vikas Manch has demanded the judicial enquiry of Bathinda tragedy where 14-month old daughter of a protesting jobless teacher lost her life. In a personal latter to the president Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Chief Minister S. Parkash Singh Badal ,  Gumtala stated that every citizen has the fundamental right to protest peacefully.

The duty of the police to help the agitating teachers in the severe cold on humanitarian ground but the police took away quilts from the teachers and the child died of fever due to cold. Police also warned the owners of all tent houses and public to not give them quilts. This inhuman behavior of the police and death of the child should be probed by high level time bound judicial enquiry and culprits should be punished . Punjab Govt. should be directed to talk with the agitating teachers and accept  their genuine demands so that teachers can end their agitation. Already 3 teachers have lost their lives in this agitation despite this 14 month old baby.
