Talwandi Sabo Power Limited Vedanta Group Company visited Guru Kashi University to conduct a seminar on “Green Technologies at Work” They interacted with the engineering students about importance of Green Technologies & regarding its implementation in the industry.
More than 300 students from various Engineering streams like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, ECE, CSE, and Petrochemical Engineering participated in the seminar. Mr. Chetan Srivastava Head (Operation & Maintainace) conducted the seminar along with Mr. Varun Kaushal Manager (HSE). They were accompanied with Dr. Vishal Manager (CSR) Mr. Sudhir(AGM HR), Mr. Avinash Kumar Head (HSE) and Mr. Nursimha Bala Ji Manager (Environment).
They emphasized about reduction in emission of Green house gases and how technology is used to lower SPM in the air and that TSPL has set a benchmark in SPM emission from 50 ppm to 29 ppm.
The team from TSPL thanked GKU for their active participation in tree plantation on 19th July, 2015 and also appreciated the infrastructure and facilities available to the students in the Campus. Prof. Mehboob Singh Gill Director Corporate affairs GKU shared that more interactions of TSPL & GKU is excepted in coming years for better environment and society along with the training and placements to the students.
Dr. N.S. Malhi, Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of Training & Placement Department of GKU for this valuable corporate activity.
