Will demand suspension and enquiry against Head Constable Vijay: Aujla
Amritsar 14 Sep: DCC(R) Amritsar president Gurjeet Singh Aujla today visited Balwinder Singh Bhita former Sarpanch at his residence in village Kaonke. Balwinder was assaulted by Akali workers last month on the behest of Head Constable Vijay of Gharinda Police Station. Head Constable Vijay is posted in this police station for more than 13 years and is serving Akali leaders against Congressmen of the area. Vijay is said to be involved in fake FIRs as well as local drug nexus headed by most notorious of the smugglers. Even the senior most officers do no know how Vijay managed to stay in the same police station for this long. This very constable created troubles in Attari constituency during Lok Sabha elections in 2014 aslo. Balwinder Singh Bhita, who started supporting Congress in 2012 was framed in 5 fake FIRs by Vijay. These FIRs are registered under IPC 376, IPC 326, IPC 420, motor/laptop theft, mismanagement of funds/grants etc. Vijay is creating troubles for Balwinder again by not entertaining his complaint against Akalis who attacked him and injured his leg. On the other hand Vijay managed to get get fake results for IPC 326 from doctors against Balwinder who is bed ridden since attack.
Discussing the matter with the local media personnel, Aujla said that head constable Vijay has created lot of troubles for almost all the Congressmen of the area, he didn’t even spare women and children of Congressmen. He said that they are taking this matter to the senior police officials and well as to the High Court. Replying to a query, Aujla informed that the locals have proofs of Vijay’s involvement in drug smuggling/paddling, that’s how he managed to stay in the same police station. He said that all that proofs are being studied by High Court advocates and soon a petition will be filed in High Court demanding CBI enquiry against SAD leaders and head constable Vijay for involvement in drug nexus. Aujla further informed that a protest will be staged at Gharinda police station on 18th Sep demanding registration of Balwinder’s complaint against assailants and suspension of Vijay.
