Music Department of Guru Nanak Dev University celebrated theFirst Parkash Divas of Sri Guru Granth Sahib
Amritsar, September 15, 2015 ( ) – Gurmat Samagam ‘Gun Gava Din Raat’ was organized in Department of Music of the Guru Nanak Dev University to celebrate the First Parkash Divas of Shri Guru Granth Sahib with a great sanctity. Students, Harbir Kaur, Manpreet Kaur, Jaspreet Kaur, Harkamal Preet Singh, Manmohan Singh, Gurbaz Singh, Gurdev Singh, Manpreet Singh and Harvinder Singh recited Shabads from Gurbani which created a spiritual and devotional environment all around.
Teachers of the faculty Mr. Sukhdev Sagar and Mr. Parbhakar Kashyap also presented Shabads. Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, Head of the Department explained the relevance of the spiritual healing of ‘Bani’ with demonstrations and appreciated the performances of all. Faculty teacher Mr. Charanjeet Singh and student Jaspreet Singh accompanied all the performances with their instruments. During this programme Dr. Tejinder Gulati, Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Ms. Kiran Amar, Mr. Narinder Singh, Mr. Gaveesh, Students of M.P.A, M.A. M.Phil. and Ph.D. were present on this occasion.
Hindi Diwas Celebrated at GNDU
Amritsar, September 15, 2015 ( ) – The Hindi Diwas was Celebrated in Department of Hindi of the Guru Nanak Dev University. Dr. Sudha Jatinder, Head of the Department presided over. A large number of students, researchers and teachers were present.
Dr. Sudha said that everyday is Hindi Diwas and today is Hindi Utsav. She said that Hindi is not only the need of India but for the whole world because it is widly spoken, written and read language. Hindi bounded the whole nation into one string and becuase of this today India is Yog Guru of the world. She said that in the comming days more technology is needed to associate with Hindi. Faculty members also presented their views on this occasion.
Guru Nanak Dev University released Youth Festivals Schedule
Amritsar, September 15 ( ) – The Guru Nanak Dev University has released the schedule of Youth festivals to be organized at University campus by the Department of Youth Welfare of the University from September 22 to October 28, 2015.
Dr. Jagjit Kaur, Director said that Zonal Youth Fesitval of Govt., Constitutent Colleges and Associate Institutes would be held from September 22 to September 25 while Zonal Youth Festival of Educational Colleges would be organized from October 3 to 5. She said that Zonal Youth Festival A Zone would be held from October 11 to 14 and C Zone Youth Fest would be held from October 18 to 21. She said that Inter-Zonal Final Youth Festival would be held from October 25 to 28. She said that in these festivals the competitions in the 34 items of Music, Theatre, Dance, Literary and Fine Arts would be organized.
