WHEAT ADVISORY FROM PAU Ludhiana

Weather during last five days remained dry with maximum temperature in range of 20.0 to 22.4 and minimum temperature was in range of 5.4 to 9.2 with morning relative humidity in range of 94 to 97 per cent. Weather is expected to remain dry with possibility of thundershowers and shallow to moderate fog at isolated places in Punjab during next 2-3 days. During next two days, dense to very dense fog can occur at isolated places in the state. During next 2-3 days the maximum temperature and minimum temperature are expected to remain between 19 to 22o and 3 to 8oC respectively. The farmers are advised to monitor wheat crop for detection of initial infection foci (patches) of yellow rust in sub mountainous districts of the state. Wherever the symptoms of yellow rust are observed, manage the initial infection foci of yellow rust with spot application of recommended fungicides like Tilt 25 EC / Bumper 25 EC / Shine 25 EC / Markzole 25 EC / Compass 25 EC to check its spread to adjoining areas.

ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ 8 ਜਨਵਰੀ 2016 :– ਪੰਜਾਬ ਐਗਰੀਕਲਚਰਲ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਆਫ ਐਗਰੋ ਕਲਾਈਮੈਟਰਾਲੋਜੀ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਡਾ: ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਲਖਵੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਧਾਲੀਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ 5 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮੌਸਮ ਖੁਸ਼ਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਤਾਪਮਾਨ 20 ਤੋਂ 22.4 ਡਿਗਰੀ ਰਿਹਾ ਜਦ ਕਿ ਘੱਟ ਤੋਂ ਘੱਟ ਤਾਪਮਾਨ 5.4 ਡਿਗਰੀ ਤੋਂ 9.2 ਡਿਗਰੀ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਵੇਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਨਮੀ ਦੀ ਮਾਤਰਾ 94 ਤੋਂ 97 ਪ੍ਰਤੀਸ਼ਤ ਤੱਕ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਸਮ ਖੁਸ਼ਕ ਰਹੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਮਿਆਨੀ ਤੋਂ ਸੰਘਣੀ ਧੁੰਦ ਪੈਣ ਦੇ ਆਸਾਰ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਵੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਨੀਮ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੀਲੀ ਕੁੰਗੀ ਦੇ ਧੌੜੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਂਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਮਲੇ ਲਈ ਖੇਤ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਪਾਏ ਜਾਣ ਉਥੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਿਫਾਰਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ ਟਿਲਟ 25 ਈ ਸੀ/ਬੰਪਰ 25 ਈ ਸੀ/ਸ਼ਾਈਨ 25 ਈ ਸੀ/ਮਾਰਕਜ਼ M2;ਲ 25 ਈ ਸੀ/ਕੰਪਸ 25 ਈ ਸੀ ਦਾ ਛਿੜਕਾਅ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਹਦਾਇਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
